tom_paxton Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 ... after 2 months since getting the wagon, finally collected the first of what is sure to be a large collection of door dings. Fort Kinnaird on a busy Saturday afternoon, almost guaranteed to have some clumsy careless sod hit your car...
weeb Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 nae luck m8!! doesnt matter where u park someone always ends up next to you and even worse they ding your car!!! move all security cameras on your car just like in the yaris advert
jcscoob Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Thats why scoobs need to take up two spaces !
weeb Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 that rite!!! folk still squeeze in next to you or leave a nasty note on your windscreen!!! and yes the scooby is worthy of 2 spaces!!!!
oobster Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I've picked up a couple of dings since getting the car and i always use the same guy to get them out. Charges about £50 per panel, but he's s**t hot. PM me if u want his number. He covers Edinburgh & the Lothians
ScoobyAndy Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Sorry to hear that mate. The answer is...... Keep your car as dirty as possible and noone wants to park too close to it works every time
craig mac Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 What about fitting the bump strips you can get from Subaru? What is the general view on fitting these? Craig
paddy247 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 The bump strips are good, do they come coded or just in black, grant at awd has them on his black scooby and they look ok
dan_jess Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I take up 2 spaces wherever i go, nobody seems to watch what ther doing, so why shud i keep them a space, only for them to open ther door onto mine, or whoever elses car that sitting. Makes me angry!
fai17 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I hate that when that happens Shoot the f@ckers
gary_johnson Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Know the feeling..I park in the furthest away spot in car parks where normally there is no other cars within miles.. of mine to avoid this problem....but when I get back to the car its always surrounded.
irish al Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I always double park when i go to the shops. The other half doesnt like it. However........ the other week we were in livingston and as usual i got a row for using two spaces. We went into the shop and on the way out we saw an old fat heffier swing her door open and bang it off the adjacent car to hers and then drove off. We actually heard the bang. Mind you it was an old car with about twenty other dings on each of the doors. Must off been a worker who parks there all day. After that I never get a row for double parking
alistair_learmonth Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Parking is prob at those car parks. Today I parked in my bay same space both sides, came back and this old tank of a renault espace with more dents than a stock banger. It was abandoned sitting in the angle it turned in, there was no space to open the rear doors. Baseball bat nah, PP9 Battery in a sock, give them a fair old ding.
