Knackered Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Alreet folks! Having a wee problem with my scooby. (Imported WRX MY95) Got an intermitent(?) fault which causes her to limit to 0.5 bar of boost. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when this happens. Can vary from 20 mins limited then back to full boost then back to limited again on the same run. (Sat in traffic, open road, hot/cold, fast/slow, no pattern at all!) Fault code reported is 45. Scooby manual says that is either pressure sensor or pressure exchange solenoid valve. (Thanks subaru, one fault code for 2 parts so might have to buy both!) Tried cleaning them several times but no joy. Hoses look ok. Looked at prices for new and near sh*t my pants! Pressure sensor alone was over £300 +vat from Scooby dealer parts place. So... anyone know where I can get my hands on some replacements that won't give my bank balance a heart attack?? (BTW. Maf is brand sparkly new cos I originally had a 23 fault code too and replaced it, just before anyone suggests it!! ) Also has new temp sensor (what a bitch to fit!) and new crank angle sensor (piece o' pish to fit) Anyway, here is the wee treat, full scooby workshop manuals for pre97MY and 98-99MY can be found here: http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co.uk/default.htm Bribery...me? Nah! Cheers

Knackered Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 Stupid and cheap...God, I hope so! Damn thing's been a money pit since I got her. But totally worth it for the squashed lungs and lunatic grin I get when I mash the loud pedal!! So, Grant, Jamie if you're out there guys, any ideas? Or does anyone know a good scooby breakers where I might pick the parts up. By the way, forgot to just say Hi to everyone properly before, been reading the forums for a while but first proper post. So...Hi Everyone! Just need to brace the credit card for a new clutch, radiator, intercooler now, all of which are on their last legs!
