MY94 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 It's going to be a costly week for me.I put my car in today to get the bodywork sorted after being hit whilst parked(again!). I got it serviced yesterday thinking I could have a good blast next week on holiday after getting it back this Saturday from the bodyshop. Alas,I knew something wasn't quite right with the car, turns out the up pipe is on it's last legs.So whilst the turbo's out,I'm going for the Hayward & Scott up pipe and downpipe(I've already done the mid/back box).Bummer about the cost, but secretly happy cause I wanted to go full decat ages ago.I also need some more bushes to add to my on car white line products............lol...... Anyone else got the Hayward & Scott up pipe and downpipe? I just need to find some money for fuel after this lot............. Anyway ,cheers to all at AWD for the help & see you soon. I'm now 3.5 hours without Scoob and forced to watch a pointless Scottish football game on the telly! ps first time in a bus for years today........just to report, they've not changed:-)I think I'll stick with the Scoob
MY94 Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 3-0 to us final score.....shame we're out the cup!
=Robbo= Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Hi Mate. I've got the hayward and scott up and downpipes, lovely items, very well made. Also the up pipe is slip jointed to allow for expansion which, as i understand it, is the best way to allow for movement/expansion. Robbo.
MY94 Posted October 15, 2005 Author Posted October 15, 2005 They are going on this Monday, I wasn't sure wether to frame the up pipe or get it fitted.......
=Robbo= Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Both pipes MUST be heat wrapped before fitting. Robbo
=Robbo= Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Sweet. You'll love it. Have a look at the cat inside the up pipe (newage), it's like a block of carboard stuffed down there! When you think of the effort people put in to gas flowing cylinder heads and exhaust headers it becomes obvious why cats are a no-go for performance tuning. Wait till you hear the turbo spool! Robbo.
