hay all,

I've just got a new afterburner de-cat mid section from scoobyworld today along with a afterburner back box.

Thanks to the guys at Scoobyworld that I spoke to as well, very helpfull indeed.

My question for all you technical minded people out there as I know very little about this, I have also ordered a gasket set from roger clark, now I under stand the gasket for the back box and the two bolts, but how does the gasket from the down pipe to the mid section fit togther i.e O ring 2 springs (how do the springs work? face-icon-small-confused.gif ) and 2 bolts, sorry if it sounds stupid just want to clear it up for my own mind.

Cheers guys.

You cant go wrong with the two bolts and the gasket for the front section.

The bolts are stepped so you just tighten them until they bottom out.

The gasket is actualy a fire ring that slips onto the down pipe.

This allows the section after the Downpipe to move a little in any direction but still creates a sealface-icon-small-wink.gif

Hope thats clear as mudface-icon-small-tongue.gifface-icon-small-tongue.gif

Sorry, meant to say that the springs hold a preload on the two faces where the downpipe gasket/sealing ring meets the mid section.

Bolt and spring go on from one side and the nut on the other to tighten them to the preload.
