Tracking / Geometry Out?

I seem to be having a probelm with what I think is tracking but to honest Im not sure?

To drive in a straight line I need to have the steering wheel turned to the right ever so slightly. Enough so that it annoys me anyway.

I have had the tracking checked (by kwick fit i might add) when this problem first started a few months ago but nothing seemed to change. It did reduce a little. Could it be a geometry problem rather than just tracking?

I have had the car lowered on eibach springs (more than 3 months ago). Geo was checked by wallace performance a week after it being done. Track rod ends? Help, I dont have a clue. The car hasnt even touched 30k miles yet.

Hi ian if the tyres are wearing uneven or if the steering feels unpredictable whilst accelerating your tracking could be out, but by your discription there it sounds like its just your steering wheel that is out of lineface-icon-small-wink.gif this can be sorted out a few different ways but the easiest would be to get your tracking re-set, this is simply done by locking the steering wheel dead straight then re-setting the traking to suit using a 4 wheel alinement guage

hope that helps

Yes you could be right Steven, its just I have never heard of this happening before?

Anyone know where I can get this checked out in Aberdeen?

*Edit* Oops you said it only started happening recently, sorry.

Has it allways done this mate? If the steering wheel has been off or disconnected from the rack then it's maybe just not been lined up properly.

Been there with many a car.

Well I dont think the steering wheel has been off.

The only work that has been done on it is its been lowered on Eibach springs and I dont think they would touch the rack/steering wheel for that.
