dougster Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 He just about knocked us down at the flying finish today!!!!
dougster Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Never heard of him!! I seen Mr McRae though today!!!!
johnnyr6 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 When did the probs happen? As dougster says it was flying at the finish, very sideways.
ScoobyAndy Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 as far as we were led to beleive he had probs on stage 1 with a broken drive shaft and then on the road section between stage 2 and 3 something happened to his front wheel that it was left sitting at a strange angle, needless to say he didnt make stage 3 start. i never heard if he managed to get to stage 4 or not though.

dougster Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Gumball's car would smoke it!!!! Any pics of the controversial roll cage or has that all been sorted out? Log book etc?
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 << Gumball's car would smoke it!!!! >> lmao Sunday night comedy...............you just cant beat it!! Great pics Davie..................Has Mr Mcrae never heard of a jet wash or has he not got a wee minnion to clean the sh1t off it
corsa Posted October 3, 2005 Author Posted October 3, 2005 None of the rollcage but have found some more for ya. I asked the question re HOW MUCH? The engineer told me he could build a replica for QUOTE "not a lot of cash" i asked what not a lot is £100,000.00 As Mcraes Escort was a custom built machine with the only standard escort parts being that it resembles the shape the figure for all the design and build work on the prototype was hovering around the £285,000.00. The engine lies off centre to the bulkhead and the gearbox is turned on its side, this is due to all the calculations of Mcrae/grists combined weights to ensure the car has the correct weight distribution. The engine itself is a 2.5 Millington Diamond pushing 380BHP. The car is stripped back to a shell and rebuilt after EVERY event. Oh and one of My CORSAs engine bay,no comparison really.
