I've been known to have a go on the turntables now and again. I'm pretty useless though. Never even played out in front of mates never mind a club like you fellows obviously have.

I've got a Denon DN-S5000 and DN-S3000 so I'm purely a CD mixer. I know, I know, this makes me evil, but I had 300+ CDs and no vinyl when I bought them, and there as no way in hell I was going to replace them with Vinyl.

It's great equipment. Much better than a sunday hacker like me should ever be allowed anywhere near.

If you want any vinyl i have a loft full of it

I mean like around 7 to 10 thousand 12" singles, of them maybe 2 or 3 in deep storage and the rest in my loft....

If there any rare ones you are looking for give me a shout, Will save me listing on Ebay.......(that i have been putting off for years.

Cheers mate, but I'd just do something stupid like go and buy two 1200s to play it on, despite knowing that I barely get my moneys worth out of nearly a grand worth of CD equipment.

Craig, yeah I've heard about these mailing lists where all you have to do is send them feedback after receiving records. How do you get on them?

What kind of stuff do you have / did you play?

Full spectrum really between house right through hard house to some techno and some deeper Chicago house stuff used to be known as "Aduly Hoose" by a few of the Aberdeen pioneers!face-icon-small-wink.gif.

No garage and chart stuff face-icon-small-disgusted.gif etc

The mailing lists, you will need proof of gigs etc letters from owners, promoters stating how many you play too on a regular basis, and flyers

Keep hounding them and keep bombarding them with charts, letters and hassle

They will eventually put you on as a limited previewer and as you grow with regular returns and charts every week they will increase your limit.

Its hard work but really is worth it in the end.

Im really into the deep "jackin" bumpy feel US house at the moment although I cant really get away with playing that in Blu, I can at new year though face-icon-small-happy.gif Saw Gene Farris a few months ago at Snafu he was awesome, right up my street. Also like a lot of vocal and soulful house. Thats more what I play in Blu along with a bit of the more commercial and classic dance tunes. No pop or cheesy sh!t from me though.

So who do you contact to get on the mailing lists?

Drop me a line with your wants i will let you know if i have them

I have some real "bad boys"

Bear in mind that its mostly older stuff i have from like 94 to say 2001ish after that i was away from the main scene bowed out gracefully but still getting the odd the tune or two

I have heaps of unreleased stuff and limited promos, any of the more main stream chart bound or possible break through cheese was ditched....never ever played a tune when playing out after it had been radio listed and played... no matter how big chart = cheese to me, it was suppossed to be unique underground not main stream crap...............and thats one of the things that killed the dance clubs and events AS WELL AS OTHERS... great example of this was camisra feel the beat.... Sampled "party people" loop well pp was a huge favourite of zammos and the aberdeen crowd....Rampling dropped this white label bangin tune broke down to the pp loop and the place went mental and this was 5 years before it appeared in the shops .....it blew me away and i asked what it was he had no idea he signed it and gave it to me!!! Needless to saw i hammered it week in week out and it always had the same effect HUGE TUNE then low and behold mainstream release that was it finished in proper club land.

RANT OVER goodness i can go on.....OOPS

But as i say i still get tunes even now that are Unreleased so drop me a line

Me too mostly hard house/hard dance bouncin' full on in your face stuff i have plus lots of other styles that went straight into the loft the more garage housey stuff and the harder techno

Never was into all that floaty hands in the air trancy Sasha BULL........bouncin one minute then mid tune hands in the air floaty CR4P for 2 minutes then away we go again but dare say i have my share of that up there as well Sacha? POOP Great technical expert and flawless dj without doubt one of the best dj's i have ever seen and i have seen or played with all the so called top boys of that era but just in my mind poor tunes for that time the crowd like to bounce. But that was what he did best.

4 to the 4
