mod help and hi

Hi to all on the Manx that we gladly met on this years Scooby Fest after Richard nabbed us (Damian, Lisa & Josh) as we were coming off the ferry for a few quiet days following the rally (this didn't happen)face-icon-small-happy.gif

Anyway after coming back to the land of song and sheep we started the mods on our wrx in prep for next year (haven't sorted out glowing blue brakes yet though). We've put on a Bailey Motorsport dump valve and K&N 57i kit to help with pick up and turbo lag, these mods have helped a little but still isn't enough.

We're looking to get it remapped but are open to suggestions to other mods that will help us to gain more oomph (as much as possible without having to change box etc).

We have about £1600 to spend so any help on what to change and where to go would be very much appreciated.

Cheers Damian & Lisa

Hi, good to see that we made an impact. I am hoping to do some mods to my WRX and my first stop will be a decat and a new box. I am getting a friend to make one but some of the websites have very good deals at the mo. Also a replacement down pipe can add to the free flow of the gases.

Hope this helps.

If you're thinking about a remap I would definitely consider a decent flowing aftermarket downpipe & exhaust as you won't get the most out of a map without them & they pretty much go hand in hand. Just with those you should get a considerable increase in va va voom! face-icon-small-happy.gif

And so your journey down the slippery slope of car modding begins, lol.

As said above deff do a decat especially the down pipe that makes the biggest difference.

A little over budget but try WRC Tech and the 280bhp package.

Sure they will do you a deal without the induction kit as you already have K&N.

And no need for aftermarket ecu, ecutek is included in the price, which is just a remap of the existing ecu.

Also the system they supply is not to loud on long journeys etc.
