Iaing Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Will soon be aquiring a H&S downpipe for my buggy wrx, is Wallace Performance the best place to go to get this sort of work done? I have a downpipe back powerflow exhaust which was fitted by them so I'm guessing its probably my best bet? Also will I run into any problems running a full de-cat without remap? Iain
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 They could do it but Russell a.k.a WUZ will do it cheaper Takes about an hour and the downpipe had to be cool enough to work on.... Remember you might need a CEL fix. Mine was okay for about 4 days until the CEL came on. Time for a remap to take full advantage Cheers Cal
Iaing Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Could you carry on driving it even tho the cel was on? what does that stand for anyway? yeah re-map is in the pipeline, just gathering bits first, have a CAI sat in the flat and quite fancy getting a Sti TMIC and possibly up-pipe. Iain
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Yes you can but it might get on your thrupennies after a while plus you may not know of another problem the ECU's warning of you'll assume it's related to the downpipe. CEL - check engine light You should be okay on a new age without remap but best to get one in the long term CS

Takes little under an hour to take off eveything around it (inc heatshield) before you even think of getting bolts off the turbo. Job is 2 hours in total (inc cutting the Heatshield) Russell ps - I'm available if Wallace is not able to do it.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Yip true Russell - when i think about it AWD had two guys on the job so 2 hrs sound about right
