Bad day

What a day im having, this afternoon the car stars losing water (got it sorted), then about an hour ago i went to asda to get a couple of bottles of beer, and when i came back out my daughter who was sitting in the back of the car tells me that the car next to me (a honda civic) hit my car when parking marking the drivers rear door about 16" long so i go back into asda and they had a what do you want us to do about it attitude; luckily the guy came out and gave me his details, but i just cant see how he managed to hit it there were no other cars around, the car park was almost empty

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better

I've had a good look at it and it hasnt dented the door just scraped the paint, i will take it to a friend who owns a paintshop tomorrow and see what he thinks before i contact the insurance as the guy might want to settle it himself.

I have been wanting the mirrors and sideskirts colour coded and a sti v4 front spoiler fitted for a while, so this might be a good time to get it all done

seems to be a recurring theme happening with people getting their cars dinked/scratched/dented/etc, at car parks.... some people just don't give a $hit if they hit somebody elses car !!!!

I feel for you Des!

Had similar inccident a bit ago when i just got the dent in my front wing while parked near my house, needed a whole new wing!! Then when it got fixed up the next day at tollcross car park Edinburgh i got a dent and scrape put in the same wing. Similarly mine the one of about ten cars in the car park and was even parked away from othr cars, still a mystery how it could have happened!!

Really annoys me that things like this are out of your control and 9/10 you end up having to pay for things to be sorted out.

I am glad you got the detail of the guilty party, hope you get stuff sorted out soon for you car mate

Glad the bugger owned up, when I had my Rx8 I parked it in the Scottish office car park when it was 2 days old, came back from my 3 week trip at sea and found some bast*rd had dented the back door, ok once is unlucky, so I park it in the carpark again whilst I go back to sea again and 3 wks later when I get home someone had smashed the front of the car, twice there was no cctv available so couldnt even try track down the ars*holes that did it.
