pobiom Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 yeah, just got a 1999 black type R. No, the skyline had to go to finance the subaru mate ! but in my opinion i now have the better car !
Dave K Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Very nice car, just seen you go through Union Mills after 5, wanted a black one myself but could'nt find one. Did'nt you have a black jun 2.2 before?
pobiom Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 yeah, about 2 years ago, i had a black 4 door 1995 WRX which i had modified to a stupid level, and yeah the JUN 2.2 was part of it all. Then i sold it, thinking i need something more silly and bought the Veilside R33 GTR Skyline, hoping for just that, but unfortuntly it was a bit of a let down and a car i would never recommend to a manx resident.
Dave K Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Was'nt the Skyline pushing 800bhp? Take it this was the new owner then at wakefield car show? Sixth pic down, if thats your old car?
pobiom Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 That looks like it ! yeah sold it to a guy in lancaster, he must of travelled ! lol

heazille Posted August 21, 2005 Author Posted August 21, 2005 Morning Guys n Gals, Just a quick note about this munchy meet. It is possible that we might hold it another day. 2 reasons, A:, The Cost!! The mooragh park now want £8.50 for the meal which i feel is rather expensive. but more importantley, B:, The Conister Motor Show has now started advertising, (although we have been trying to get details for awhile!!) and will be over that same weekend. Therefore Dave and I are trying to see if we can take part ourselves. I have had no further contact at all with Barry Curran, and can only therefore assume that we are not welcome to join or assist them So never mind, we could have our own show instead!! Anyone up for a change of venue then for 2 days. Ta Ta Richard
Manx minx Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 No problems just let us know when Richard. Hope you guys are all well Nix ----------- Subaru Impreza turbo 4x4 '97 Subaru Impreza wrx sti type uk ppp '03
heazille Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 Just to reiterate, as the Conister Motor Show is a go, This Manx Munchie Meet will now take place another time Ta Ta Richard
enCrypt Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 << I have had no further contact at all with Barry Curran, and can only therefore assume that we are not welcome to join or assist them >> Doesnt surprise me! I bought my scoob from him and he was on the phone every hour almost, when I was trying to get the loan sorted. When I needed them to look at something after I bought it, he was, shall we say 'less than helpful'. Got the distinct impression that he just couldnt be arsed! Was a bit disappointed that it was him who's got the Subaru deal...anyway, this may have been just my dealings with him...
heazille Posted September 13, 2005 Author Posted September 13, 2005 Amended Manx Munchie Meet Sunday 2nd October 11:30am meet @ the grandstand, then orf for Sunday Roast an Ice cream for pudding (subject to the weather) Best start the list off again then, Richard Margy
