regarding the newsletter, what if anything needs done to make sure it gets up and running?

The meet was a good first meeting since you took over and sets the standard for the way forward in Glasgow hopefully.

I also think that the wee run after the meets is a good idea to get everyone together whilst doing something like that, not just in the brewers fare.

Hope all the meets go well and get better and better over the coming months.face-icon-small-smile.gif

I agree,

A wee tootle along the road to somewhere afterwards is a good idea, rather than just a meet up at a location and then go home.

It doesn't have to be a total "Canonball" ( ahem sorry Chris, old Skool rules !!! ) but if only for a few miles.

Or ....... what if, a meet up at a central point ( City centre, showcase cinemas, Ikea etc ), then a short scoot to a Brewers Fayre/ Pub etc in convoy then the meet proper ?

So even if you set the meet for say Hillington, everyone could meet up for instance on Bothwell Street/Waterloo Street in the City centre, and then its only 5 mins to the pub but everyone gets a quick blether beforehand.

Only an idea

I agree, theres no need to gumball/canonball/screwball everywhere. A nice convoy of scoobies would be good.

i think im getting old and sensibleface-icon-small-smile.gif

Damn! Just when I had sorted out my Burt Reynolds in the army uniform from the canonball run. Guess I'll need to shelve my nun outfit too.

So, Billy,

Any thoughts on a Pre or Post meet tootle - or shall we leave it to the forums to set up mini-meets and convoys before the meets ?

Cheers

IMDB is mistaken. I am almost certain.

I do believe it was a black Mitsubishi Starion Turbo that he and Jaws from the bond films copiloted.

Jackie has also driven a number of Mitsubishis in various films, because I do believe he is sponsored by them. He even starred as a mechanic and racing driver in one called Thunderbolt where he drives an FTO in a great chase sequence at the start, and races a works 3000GT towards the end.

Quality film that. Despite him being on the darkside face-icon-small-wink.gif
