tuning advice

as above,looking for recomendations for someone who has a real passion for imprezas to help me get the most out of my my00 without treating me as a cash cow. i know doing it properly aint cheap,but i also know that i wont get 50bhp from a dump valve...its got a full decat at the moment and i want to check everythings running as it should before i start modding. im based outside perth and ideally could do with someone with flexible hours as i normally work 7-7 six days a week. so what says the collected scottish scoobies wisdom?

depends what you are lookin for mate, if its a remap then Andy F is your man, if its any other tuning bits and pieces, from exhausts ot turbos etc, then only 1 man i would go and see and that is Duncan @ Hypertech, he is the man, wouldnt let anyone else work on my car

go to AWD MOTORSPORT in my opinion they are the best, AWD are based in perth, inveralmond ind est 01738 633336 oh yeh almost forgot they are subaru specialists

They work closley with Andy.f The cars moded then Andy remaps them.

thats whats good about the forums, you get various opinions, some have good reports on places while others have not so good reports. At the end of the day, the only way you can really judge how good a place is, is by trying them for yourself.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and altho some are classed as subaru specialists, it does not necessarily mean they are the best, as Ive said before, my opinion is that Duncan @ Hypertech is the man to go to, i trust him 110% with my car, and no work is carried out without taking his advice first. He knows his stuff, and service and workmanship is first class.

I only recommend people who i would use myself, which is why i have no hesitation in giving Duncan's business card to anyone who asks about mods or general work. I have sent quite a few people his way, and have yet to hear anyone have a bad word to say about him. He has also gained some loyal customers after i have sent them in his direction, and i'm sure they would all back up my views.....

at the end of the day, its each to their own, and good luck whoever you decide to use mate

Lets not forget Greersport in Beith in this thread.

He has rallied Scoobies for a few years and is on an EVO 6 now.

Rallies probably treat the car hardest out of motorsport.

As they say " I only let them work on my car".

Well each to there own.

No doubt all recomendation is good here.

Did yous know Colin Greer was rallying at the weekend in the Jim Clarks Rallies!!!ENOUGH SAID.

It also depends what ECU you want to use for the person to do the remap.

What are you looking to get done.

I think you live too far from Beith but it might be worth it.

I think a good few SIDC cars already use him as for labour charge its £25+vat an hour.Not bad for a rally minded person eh.

Rally roots , you can't beat them so join them.

Colin Greer is one scary driver(rally style RULES).It frightens the pants off you.
