andy Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Anybody else noticed they've all been stripped? No flashes in any of them on the A90 from Dundee northwards yesterday and all stripped on the A9 south today from where they start right down to Stirling. That aside, the Scoob had it's 20k service a few weeks ago. They said it needed new front brake pads and that the front disks were seriously pitted. Should that be the case at only 20k (disk pitting - I accept the brake pads)? If so, what kind of bill can I expect? Any recommendations to get the work done?
andy Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 << what as in all the florescent markings taken off?? >> No. The guts taken out of them. No flashguns or cameras in any of them in either direction. Often see some with no cameras or flashguns, but first time I've seen so many with everything removed - even the cash cows were stripped back to the boxes.

SU05WRX Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I had the same problem with Disk pitting on my last (2001) WRX. Ended up buying original Subaru disks from Town & County in Aberdeen - don't remember the exact price but it was a lot less than I expected. Fitting them is dead easy - remove the pads and one of the 2 caliper bolts - I removed the bottom one. Slacken the top caliper bolt and hinge the caliper out of the way and the disk just slides off!
