running a turbo

hi i'm doing a project for uni on turbos so could someone please tell me how much power (roughly) it takes to run a turbo?

when u say power it is hard to determine as there are many variables. What is the thesis on, exactly?

Its dependant on the velocity of the exhaust gases, which to is also effected by temp and many other things.

the bigger the engine from the bigger the flow the quicker it spools, but again the turbines are different sizes and designs.

So is it really the ratio of turbo to engine size u mean?
