imprezapete Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Hi all I have just got my H&S downpipe, but its due to be fitted a week on Wednesday. So I thought I would wrap it to improve the temps in my engine bay. So im looking for advice, so far I have found Cooltek products and worked out I will need about 7m to wrap it with a 50% over lap. Anyone else got advice on how to do this? Cheers Pete
johnnyr6 Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 i used insulating wrap from Agriemach ltd. (01342 713743). I got 2" by 25ft at £27 and a pack of straps at £5 and that seemed to be enough, i had some left over. My pipe was a twin dump and i wrapped the main pipe and actuator pipe seperately and still had enough.
JamesF Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 You could do worse than contacting AWD Motorsport in Perth, they could probably advise you of the best route to go down. I just got an H&S downpipe and centre section on my MY04, holy sh!t , you better buckle up !!
WUZ Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Cooltek stuff will be fine for a D/P but they only do it in 5m increments :-( I've used it on several D/P's I've fitted and all are still OK! Russell
