DAZ1999 Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Hi After taking my car to Falkland, got a Superchip and Forge dump valve my car is still not running as quick as it should. So I took my car back to Falkland today, and they states tried everything solenoid, dos, fixed pipes which weren't connected. But I still have boost problems , they say its only running at 11PSI and should be sitting around 17PSI with the chip. They thought it was a leak in the pipes which have now been fixed but that still doesn't work. They have checked everything and it now appears the ECU is not correct by controlling the boost. They said rather than buying a new ECU (as this might not be the problem) they will try and borrow one but in meantime i was wondering if anyone could let me borrow theirs rather than buying one and finding thats not the problem. Falkland gave me a the ECU number which i have to put in here which is ..... A18-000D3722611 A0190. But as I say this might not be the problem as explained to me. Can anyone please help me regarding the boost problem as Falkland said they tried everything but still not working and they say it might be the ECU. It's quite frustrating having a car which is not running as quick as it should be. The car is.... 2.0 T , 4wd saloon UK model 1997. On checking the site I know lots of you are extremely helpful and I thank you in advance. Thanks Daz
Nelsdir Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 What boost was it running before the Superchip & d/v were put on? Have they checked the ECU for fault codes at all??
DAZ1999 Posted June 6, 2005 Author Posted June 6, 2005 Hi Well before the superchip and dv was installed it was only running at 6PSI when infact should be running at 10 or 11PSI as standard, so there was something wrong before the chip was installed. I didn't ask about the ECU codes. D
jcscoob Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 stop muckin about and get your car to AWD @ perth ( davie is $hit hot ) im sure thay will get it sorted !!
Nelsdir Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Check this out here and make sure there's no errors present/find out whats knackered. Agree on the AWD front - get them to stick the select monitor on it and you'll know if theres a prob with your ECU - chances are it won't be and the problem lies elsewhere. Neil.
