2nd hand 6 spd STI 'box wanted any suggestions?

After my last post, I'm trying to hunt down a 6 speeed sti to fit to my 1999 wagon. Still anoyed the last on ebust, only done 56k!

You will be looking for a long time mate, they are in demand and those who have them can ask for £1700 upwards without blinking an eyelid. You will need the linkage, propshaft AND remember to match the diffs. If you want to use your own propshaft you will need it shortened about 40mm. £1700 is a kind estimate and it all weighs in about 30kg heavier. If you are desperate for one, API etc will always be able to source you one and give you the advice needed, they are a good crew, Dave is the man to talk to, but its an expensive game, u will get a good box but you will pay for it.

AFAIK, you can

1/ get an STI8 Propshaft for the box

2/ get a classic AUTO propshaft for the box

3/ get your propshaft shortened by 60mm

I've had 2 6-speed boxes but sold both on due to project changes! They are getting harder to find!
