st3ph3n Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Oh yeah. Buggys at Westerwood. I can just picture that. 6 eejits attempting to drive them like scoobys. I almost rolled one once. Clipped a kerb whilst cornering aggressively on a path between holes. I was on the side that was wheels down, driving, and a family friend who was half my size and weight was on the side that was wheels up. I think I was on two wheels for a couple of seconds before it came down. Needless to say I needed new underwears.

2559B Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 << ....can only imagine what it would be like with a load of scooby drivers going daft >> straight to andy f with the buggy for a re-map, down to C+C for an exhaust, dastek just to make sure it's running right, shell for some optimax woosh juice & finally with physco mode switched - ONft> off to the golf course
2559B Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 TOP TEN THINGS THAT SOUND DIRTY IN GOLF BUT AREN'T ( sorry guys for going O/T... just can't help myself !!! ) 1. Nuts...my shaft is bent. 2. After 18 holes I can barely walk. 3. You really whacked the hell out of that sucker. 4. Look at the size of his putter !!! 5. Keep your head down and spread your legs a bit more. 6. Mind if I join your threesome? 7. Stand with your back turned and drop it. 8. My hands are so sweaty I can't get a good grip. 9. Nice stroke, but your follow through has a lot to be desired. 10. Hold up...I need to wash my balls first !!!

Guest Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 hi guys, the numbers are looking good, been it touch with brucefields and aberfoyle both cant help as the secretary is off for a week or so. got callander, their deal is coffee and bacon butty on arrival, round of golf, soup and rolls at lunch, 2nd round of golf, then tea .... ........................... all for £46. how does this sound, might be a long day so i dont know whether this is what you would all like. the first date they had was 3rd july, which is on a sunday, they have their medal that day so for all those who are in clubs they can get their cards marked for their own club. matt is looking into his pals club to see what they can do, so i will give it a few days then, get it booked. think its the busy time for golf parties etc. if you can let me now if you are up for two rounds it would be appriciated. thanks alan
fraser_drinkwater Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Sounds good ma man, looking forward to it and how bigs ma trophy again!!!!!!!!
Gumball Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Alan I would play two rounds without blinking but i know that it can be a long slog for higher cappers or people that havent played for a while. Kingsacre in Edinburgh is another course that would entertain our outing no problem. fairly cheap for an excellent course just an idea though
st3ph3n Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Kingsacre is nice. The big par 5 with the elevated tee, think it was the 14th ish, is a fabulous hole. Drive and a five iron to 15 feet then sank the putt for the eagle. Think I then duffed an iron all of 40 yards off the next tee. Welcome to my golf game.
Gumball Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 15th maybe. Thats a great hole. high tee. 200 yards stright then a right turn with a long iron. or I hit a driver stright over the rough towards the green. then hit a 9 iron into the green. pity i 3 putted.................................. Thats a great course. not too demanding and very interesting especially for two rounds
Guest Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 well where i play Alyth my mayes the pro and i used to work at the course as a grass cutter so could probably get 2 rounds with a bacon roll before and lunch in the middle for the a figure between £40 and £50. but fairly far north about half an hour from dundee!! course is fairly flat and suited to a wide range of handicappers!
2559B Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 2 rounds ??!! would be up for it, but it may take me a while
Ben_s_1 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 i am a golfer and would be up for it, have yous sorted out a date and place yet?
