Dont think we should have to speak to Max Power or Crail, just turn up early, park the cars in a semi circular type display and put the banners up front. Also think we should have a few disposable BBQ's etc, cause the food there is shocking.

If no one objects I could contact Muddy and ask nicely for the banners

Already spoken to Imy via p.m , but to let everyone else Know I'll find out the relivant details and pass them on to Gail as highly recomended by Imy and let her sort you out . Matt I dont think just showing up and getting enough space will do at this particular event. As an official Sidc event Muddy is quite insistant that we do things properly A wee phone call in the right ear will ensure a quallity venue for the scoobs rather than being stuck behind the toilets My car will be on another stand but this is part of the club that I am keen on showing and this is why this thread has been created, there are other shows threwout 2005 that Sidc are also keen to attend ie. Fast and Modified at Ingleston etc. Should I start another thread ?

That's probably a bit unfair - Ian was passing a comment on an event - not a personal comment.

Comments like the above are EXACTLY what sparks half the hassle. I would bank on most people in the SIDC agreeing with Zeolite, whether they are right or wrong comments, they are an opinion not abuse

Terrorists need not apply as me and others are well awair that these guys love jumping in and dissing others ideas , just dont comment agrea to differ and go and piss on someone elses thread There are plenty of ideas i personally dont like but instead of diving in and slating these ideas what to i do ? move on to a thread that is of interest to me and leave others to their ideas . I can fully understand that Andy and I am no keyboard terrorist, I don't post aggressive remarks and have a fairly balanced view on it - I have no comments to make on the whole situation as the situation does not involve me - it's about personalities - which is a shame as I pay £29.99 for a drivers club not the specific people.

I don't make smarmy remarks about "chavs", Max Power or whatever as each to their own and good luck to anyone who spends their time investing in cars, car clubs and motoring events instead of vandalising and selling drugs. I am sure we would all agree that some of the daft driving etc of some people leaves a lot to be desired and does nothing for the club, and I include Impreza drivers in this too.

I regret the whole situation appearing on the foums - it could have been sorted out long ago. This is a drivers club, of which the forum is a part - it is not a web club and needs to have more respectability and longevity because of this - it needs to survive through it's paid up members and the support of all others who want to help out.

Let's just get on with each other or get off the bus.

Anyway A phone call might be a good idea so as to get a good spot, I'm not an RO or the person who origonally posted so dont want to stand on anyones toes and start another uproar. I am willing to give Crail a phone. I PM'd Muddy about the banners but havent heard back . Spooks is away on Holiday so hope he hasnt got the flags

I think he's back in time for that event Matt. Don't think I am going to get a chance to get up to it anyway but I am sure if Scott does have them he would meet up with some one to pass them on - a wagon would be best as the poles are quite long.

You are going about it the right way Matt so I can't see anyone having any issues with it. Another uproar is the last thing we want.
