wrxmania Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 Anyone got any pictures of the group photo of the cars?
martin_brown Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Hi there Any of you boys know what the m3 evo did then and was he standard? Those things usually don't have anywhere near the 321bhp claimed by BMW so would be interesting to hear about his figures. Cheers Martin
ANDYJDMSTI Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 think he was about 345 bhp and 267 ft/lbs had a fair bit done to it IIRC
coulty Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 << Hi there Any of you boys know what the m3 evo did then and was he standard? He had done a new exhaust, GruppeM Carbon intake and a remap to get his 348bhp/259lbsft. He made 319bhp/257lbsft when he ran last time at Dastek with nothing done. Stuart
martin_brown Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Thanks for that boys Sounds like he had a good 'un straight out the box at 319. I imagine the gruppeM sounded quite tasty then, oh yeah how much for those by the way Martin
coulty Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 i think the carbon intake was about £550 or thereabouts. I fitted it for him which is relatively straight forward. Stuart
smorin23 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Hi All My first post here at SIDC! Yea that was my M3 Evo. Was putting out 348bhp and 260ft/lb of torque. My Full list of mods (performance and not): GruppeM Carbon Fibre Induction Kit 19" M3 Alloys (with Eagle F1's wrapped around) AC Schnitzer Strut Brace & Pedals Alpine MP3 Player, Digital Amp & 12" Sub, Hellas Chrome Angel Eyes & Xenon?s conversion Crystal Spots & Indicators Custom Quad Exhaust 355mm StopTech Brakes ECU Remap Interestingly although the bhp was up by ~30bhp the max torque was up only about 8ft/lb's however, it is up by anywhere between 10 and 25 ft/lbs in the 6,500 to 7,500 rpm range which is good keeping the fade off in the torque at upper ranges to a minimum.
martin_brown Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Hi there I'll send you a pm mate as i don't want to hi-jack this thread with more talk of Beemers Martin

Highlander68000 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 It was great to meet those that went. A great attendance considering many of the sessions down south on average get a 60% turnout (unless Pele organises it). Thanks for making me feel welcome. I hope to see you all again soon Jon
