Thursday 24/02/05 11:00 am.

A DBM saloon and a silver wagon, both Classic turbos, and both waved.

Nice.

Anyone on here?

BTW. What a day for a drive : majestic, snowy scenery, just enough enough traffic to make overtaking interesting and my bog standard (well, a bit loud) Terzo going like a train.

T'was me dithering about stopping for a roll & sausage.

If you recollect, I put on my L/H indicator (!).

You were in the white, marked (not Polis!) car?

Some drive, eh?

Except for the old cnut who overtook me at 80 on a blind corner before a 2 mile straight, between Glenfillan and Crianlarich. Touroid, obviously doesn't know the road. I was being good 'cos he was in a Beemer ie. maybe Traffic. I could have caught the fecker, but it's not worth it, I rarely rise to the challenge much above the speed limits these days.

What was the job? I know Oban quite well...

Cheers,

K.

PS. watch out for a "dark coloured" Octavia in Strathclyde.

Not too sure but is that one of the streets that overlooks the South pier? If so, I could tell you a story, but it'll be a PM.

I got to Tyndrum and back in just under two hours from Dumbarton. This includes a bit of mountain watching and a wee walk about The Green Welly Shop.

Not bad. But I burned just over a quarter tank for 80 miles; L. Lomond is mostly third gear I find. I've done most of the twisty bits of it before without pressing the middle pedal for a dare. Knocks feck out the g/box though I'd imagine.

The weather looks set for the same tomorrow so I may carry on to Glencoe to do some runs at the straight bits at Bridge of Orchy and get some photies in Glencoe.

A word of warning though to anyone else in the area : I was very careful today watching for black ice, keep an eye on the road-side puddles, they'll give you an idea before it's too late if you're travelling in the mid-morning.

MMMMMMM stories eh,Glenfoot terrace is the 2nd on the left after the shell garage on the soroba road,2nd block,1st floor flat.

We did another fire damage last year in Mossfied drive( bad fire that one)we are also pricing for another top floor flat fire in Lorne avenue.

Something about Oban and arsonists me think!!!

face-icon-small-smile.gifYou took your time D.

Been at the Ettrick?

I don't even know if that's still there.

Anyway, I'll go a single.

Room, that is.

Just trying to keep the forum going and I do display my SIDC &  S. Scooby stickers; it's good to get acknowledged now and again.

All the same, I must say again, what a drive today!

All the best,

Ken

face-icon-small-wink.gif Nope, I'm just your local stalker.

Being a Son of the Rock I was always told as a youngster not to mix with those OK boys.

When I go out for fun in the motor I always head West or for work reasons East over the OK bypass so I haven't seen the "Low Road" for a while.

ATB,

Ken
