gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 terrible game by the way, what a waste of optimax!!!!!!
Pongo555 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Were you in the ASDA car park in Livvy today at about 4-20pm blue classic with red STi mudflaps and loud tick over exzoost ?? Pongo555
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 ummmmm no, was watching the football, or that's what i thought i was going to do!!
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Hi Gordon I've got a "was that you?" on the edinburgh road - in Dumfries - today just before lunch as i gave somebody a wave in a wr blue wrx bugeye - i was in the wagon version of same? Martin
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Yep that was me, heading off to watch Hearts getting stuffed at Motherwell
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 By the way your wagon was looking good, i saw the smile on your wifes (assumption) face as i passed and waved, good luck buddy, your car will pass everything apart from a petrol station!!
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 have you had anyone else in town wave to you then, as i'm sure the rest aren't up for it? What flaps were they then, black wrx ones from Scot Lowe?
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Bought the mudflaps on ebay, they cost about £70 for the four, ive had a few waves in Dumfries , mostly from females i must admit, who clearly needed a lift somewhere lol. Selective blindness worked for m
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 So Martin, when did you get your scoobie? How are you finding it ? Great fun are they not, welcome to the club mate!! I saw your face today and im sure i know you , insurance me thinks, i may be wrong, going to try and create a regular meet in the Balmoral Hotel Dumfries for our members, keep in touch!!!!
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 You're not wrong about passing petrol stations i seem to be on first name terms with the guy at the shell station in town. However that's not the only thing the car doesn't pass. You're right it was my wife and she has a car from the dark side of the force - it's a beemer with an m at the front. It scares the pants off me! i'll have to try that exscuse when i'm waving at all the ladies now - i thought it was a scooby they were driving, honest. Did anything come of trying to organise a meet in dumfries then?
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Why do you say the Balmoral then, is it your local as i only stay 100yds away! Thankfully not in insurance - once a year phoning around is enough for me. Yes it's a manual.....
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Early days, no regional organiser down here yet, we would need to speak to possibly someone like Dougster to get the wheels in motion, although a few of the guys have indicated they would appreciate a good gargle down her with an overnight stop. I am not sure if the gargle meant petrol or beer lol
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 Not convinced about the m3 or 5 thing, i one edged by one on the motorway at 69 mph (honest)
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I sent you a pm so we can stop torturing everybody else on here Martin
gordon_kerr Posted February 20, 2005 Author Posted February 20, 2005 I guess i better get the speedo checked lol
martin_brown Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 So he was in second gear then at 69? Joking aside i much prefer the scooby in this kind of weather but the beemer is rather scary
