"How to" Guides ?

Guys,

I have heard that there are how to guides on the go somewhere ?

I'm looking to change my brake pads before KH and will have a bash at changing them myself

Any advice on .........

1) what pads to go for ? - must be durable, not emit too much dust and preferably cheap, any www links to guide online stockists ?

2) fitting them ?
