fraser_drinkwater Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 what is up not exactly a good start but a long way to go, COME ON BRING BACK McCrae and whip the rest.
jamie_wood Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Wasnt so much the car or the drivers, more like bad luck and the conditions
wrxmania Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 McRae would no doubt have been off in a big pile of metal too - not really the road conditions to push too hard Loeb, as usual was superb and pushed just hard enough but was always aware of the road. I reckon Loeb for Subaru next year when Citroen stop Brian
jamie_wood Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Solberg was stil the most successful driver of 2004, with Subaru. He had the most number of stage wins. Mixture of driver and car I would say
fraser_drinkwater Posted January 23, 2005 Author Posted January 23, 2005 Fair enough but all the drivers had the same conditions we just need the more luck . But what make it worse is that these other teams don't produce 4x4 cars for the general public and it is subarus bread and butter, any one disagree, i knew this subject would get a bite!
fraser_drinkwater Posted January 23, 2005 Author Posted January 23, 2005 At the end of the day i hate getting beat because this result will follow me to the office tomorrow and will not finish untill the 11th.
jamie_wood Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Solberg had had the accident before Leob had gone through the stage, making it easy for Leob to avoid the same situation, Gronholm was a tad luckier when he hit the wall as he managed to carry on out of the stage for repairs. Solberg was stuck accross the road and made it harder for him to manouver the car round. This lost him too much time and team orders were to abandon the rally as he would have been out of the points even if he carried on.
jamie_wood Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Got to remember that the drivers work to their pace notes. If the spectators hadn't put all the snow on the road then it would have been okay Whats the driver meant to do if the idiots are making the road into someting they aint prepared for with the extra snow
corsa Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 << Got to remember that the drivers work to their pace notes. If the spectators hadn't put all the snow on the road then it would have been okay Whats the driver meant to do if the idiots are making the road into someting they aint prepared for with the extra snow >> Got to disagree with you on that one Jamie the drivers works to their pace notes and also the road conditions not just the notes ,the smallest word with biggest meaning is "IF" 1.If only we had slowed for the corner. 2.If we had only not hit the yump with so much speed You never know what is going to be round the next corner albeit snow, mud kicked out onto the road by a previous competitor, but when you go in to any corner totally committed it takes a great deal of skill and b*lls to get out of a situatuation. Shame to see so many offs though, not to worry new scoob for Solberg in Mexico.
spooks Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Another reason he was off pace was mind Pirelli tyres and tarmac DONT mix, roughly half sec/km slower than michelin. Still good to have WRC back Have to tip yer hat to Dougs who promised mid last season thet Mitsu would be competitive this season, good third for em, good call so far Dougs Spooks
