paulgtt
Hi guys Going to be coming back to the fold in the new year, had a v5 STi type RA couple of years ago but like the look of a blob STi this time round. I'd be aiming for around 350bhp with similar torque and it would be a weekend car with probably a track day thrown in. Question is, would I be better off with a JDM over a UK to get to this level and would the same modifications be needed on both models? Reason being is that UK cars seem a lot more common, I'd have a budget of around £7.5k maybe a tad more so be looking around 03-04 model, wide track is out of budget I believe. Any advice welcomed, thanks for reading Link to comment
ScoobieFloz
I would always go JDM if you can find a good one. I think the JDM have a twinscroll setup and the all important Rear Wiper :-) 350bhp is easily achievable on both but the JDM is said to have stronger internals. Link to comment
ScoobieFloz
I just realised it almost sounds like I know what I was talking about. I am sure someone will come along and prove me wrong :-D :-D :-D Link to comment
bengluyas
For 7.5k you would be able to scoop up a widetrack if you want one. I have a v9 widetrack and really struggle to find upgrade parts for suspension etc in the uk for the right pennies. Ie non widetrack maybe better if you want to mod mod mod. Floz you are right the JDM is stronger with a stronger semi block and hardened cam shaft. And the lovely twinscroll. Ben Link to comment
