Well Hello Again!

I used to hang about here back in the day.. so hello to those who remember me!

Have things changed much in the past 4 years or so?

The reason for my post is that I am selling up my car, and I always promised to offer it here to genuine scooby enthusiasts, but it looks as though I can't start a topic now unless I'm all paid up!

I take it this means I'll be barred for the mere mention of the sale here?

Please don't bar me! I used to be bonafide, honest! Mods - do you need me to pay up to talk sales?

Chris.

Welcome back. As far as I know you need to pay the £20 membership fee to allow you to sell things.

Your car looks very nice.

What mods have you done to it or is it standard?

Cheers! its had a bit done to it, very roughly speaking (as I don't want this to look like an advert!) its 6 speed box, 330/330, hyperflow IC, baflled sump, hidden swirl pot, AP6 pots and brembos, R888's, AndyF mapped and everything else proper that should be there :)

Here's a recent pic - its without its stripe any more :(

Just went quiet mate hardly ever come on here these days. Only own a 500bhp P1 now :P

Did you abandon the RB build? how did that end?

Saw your car on PH earlier mate, pretty much an ideal spec'd classic and very similar to my last MY00 actually. But it's outside my grasp at the moment.. however if you fancy chopping a chunk off the price, let me know. :)

Cheers,

Good News! Well 'news' anyway. The car sold yesterday!

Stayed pretty local too which is nice.

Grant - the dark blue 6 speed? yeah I remember that at Steve W's! Have you nothing now?

The RB5 shell was knackered. It was rotten and beyond repair.

Bought a P1 needing an engine and used that as a base for the project.

It became project 494 as that was the P1's build number.

Should have made the required 494bhp but not been rolling roaded to prove it

Yup, the DBM with 6-speed... the new owner has gone a vastly different route with the car, which is a shame given that non-rotten classics are getting harder to find. But hey ho, it's his car I guess!!

Good news on the car sale. :)

Cheers,

Grant
