Higgy Memorial Cheque

As many of you will know we lost one of the original and biggest club characters last year in a motorbike accident, as a mark of respect that he would have loved a group of us renacted one of his favourite runs at the end of last year and sold stickers from the club shop that were proudly displayed on all cars attending.

The money raised from the sticker sales and donations came to £400 and was recently handed over to Higgy's partner Mel Brooks to be used, amongst other things, for a bench with his name on it at his local mountain bike track that he was very passionate about.

Mel and Abby, Higgys baby daughter, wanted the following message passed on to everyone involved

Hi Davie, can you please pass on my thanks to the Club that's a fantastic cheque! I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, yourself, Dale, Cathy, Dave everyone for everything you've done. Thank you again xx

Wow, I had no idea that he had been involved in an accident.

Haven't been on here in a while, only met him a couple of times, nice bloke.

Very sad news indeed, my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
