wrx kenny Posted June 6, 2013 Share Posted June 6, 2013 On way home from work tonight car hasn't even done 4 miles, my temp gauge went to red , pulled over water was pouring from bottom end of radiator and that burnt smell of water . Topped up header tank and expansion tank pulled off needle went back to just below red and started to gradually drop .oomed at water in expansion tank had gone quite murky with bits of crap in it , but no more leaks from the radiator area . scoobywho Posted June 6, 2013 Share Posted June 6, 2013 Coolant pressurising on boost and poring out the overflow usually, you can get a sniffer test done to find out, a radiator blockage can give similar symtoms without the exhaust gas in the coolant. But as been said before, check thermostat is opening correctly and water flow is ok, check the radiator cap isnt worn out, and also do a system burp then take it a blast and seeif it does it again Link to comment
