to remove spring there is a 19mm nut on the top mount that is tricky to get to i used a 19mm socket on the nut then used a 6mm allen key to through the centre of it and used stillsons to grip the nut and slacken it do not remove nut

if the springs r not lowering springs u will need spring clamps. i have lowering springs so all i needed to stand shocker on its end push down on top mount and remove nut

WP_000047.jpg

put spring on new shocker and put shocker on it end push down on top mount and put on nut then put on its side and tighten nut there is an arrow and outer on top mount this should point away from car in direction of the bolt holes at bottom of shocker

put shocker back into place and rest shocker on the suspension arms. the hard part is to get the 3 bolts on the top mount thru the holes when u get them thru put on the 12mm nuts on just a tad to give u play to get the shocker bolts on

WP_000053.jpg

WP_000055.jpg

wrestle with the shocker to get bottom bolt hole lined up and put bolt thru and put the nut on finger tight

WP_000057.jpg

this a hard and dangerous part i used an axle stand under the brake drum part of the disc and lowered the jack and the hub will push in at the top and the top hole will line up nicely

WP_000058.jpg

WP_000059.jpg

jack car back up and tighten bolts and tighten top mount bolts

WP_000060.jpg

WP_000061.jpg

refit brake pipe, use wire brush and clean the pipe as its shaped to fit the bracket on the shocker, but the pipe in the bracket and push in clip WP_000062.jpg

WP_000065.jpg

refit wheel job done
