This is rust needing repaired.

Unfortunately it goes there on most classics. I will bet that there will be a lot more rust hidden up inside the arch which I think causes this corner to rust from behind. You can get it rubbed off both sides and resprayed but when I had a body shop do this it came back less then a year later. The only way to get rid for good is to cut out the rusty bit and replace or fill.

Could you let me know how you get on with repairing yours?

I think I will have to get it cut and wielded to be honest, i know its dear but aint looking to get rid of the car.

Hopefully with some care and cleaning it will last a few years. Waxoyl the arches underneath.

I have taken some pictures today, spent yesterday cleaning the garage to gimme work space for the lovely Glasgow weather, then today was a scorcher :(

Yeah thats what I am hoping, I have the waxoyl and kurust ready to go, just need the weather to improve to help along with it. The weather wouldnt make its mind up today in EK on and off!!

Where abouts in town do you stay?
