scoobywho
Could be clutch release bearing, better get it checked incase it's the crank floating about Link to comment
Somersetscooby
It's fine to drive so would that still b the crank..? Drove it back from trax an it was ok, the coolent tank next to the battery was empty. Thanks for the reply. Link to comment
scoobywho
My classic started off making a slight clutch slip under hard load in every gear but on a brand new clutch, then started knocking on startup but quiet after 5 seconds. Changed the oil pump noise stayed. Was cruising along at 50 on the motorway and felt like it was vibrating. Pulled over and engine bay was cloudy with smoke. Recovered it home and found the crank had been moving up and down at the back and pushed the seal out and bottom end bearings and bits of conrod were in the sump had ran on the three good ones but not well lol Check the calipers as well incase it's just a sticky one and the steam was a coincidence Edited September 3, 2012 by Scoobywho Link to comment
Somersetscooby
The steam was from the coolent bottle I no that much... As for the slight nocking with only happens very rarely comes from the passenger side was thinking prop shaft or the rear diff.... Link to comment
scoobywho
Hopefully it's not too serious. I'm always worst case lol Link to comment
