Vimmy
Cool I'll be following this one, I'm looking at a rebuild with a possible stroker kit for my aging MY98 turbo wagon - but thats when and if it finally blows up. Do you know what the cause of the failures was? Cheers, Col Link to comment
scoobywho
Yeah the turbo pressurised the crankcase and basically blew it wide apart streching all the bolts and destoying the crank a set of forged pistons. Its an my01 classic wagon ive had it for years and never had any trouble with it until this, was rebuilt at 66k after big end failure and 123k decided to go again. Link to comment
Vimmy
Bloody hell that is a bit of bad luck, so far mine is on the same block with a rather good bit of mileage, I must be one of the fortunate few. Link to comment
