criddy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 No Plodster, just a lot of love... Lol South West chat was named so to allow inclusion of all
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Yeah I did that so that even the Zummerzet boys felt lurved too
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Oh yes I received death threats and even worse some man lurve from Criddy!! Thought I had beeter action it as I know how he likes to rub his tyres on things!
plodster Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 So now the man love is turning to rubbing?! I've getting very worried about the South West members now.
jimmer Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 A little while ago Keith was on about having a dyno shoot out or something! I'm intrigued by this as I'm looking to have mine re mapped in the next couple of months maybe!,as I would like to know what mine is running at now & what it will be once it is mapped! 1,where is a good place to go? 2,is there anybody else interested in doing it? 3,how much for a dyno run? 4,how much for a re map? 5,is there a place that will do a group?(we asked Allan Jeffrey he does, but don't know how much)

Will check if it's 4 wheel drive as they've got quite a bit of space to accommodate cars
jimmer Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Don't want it to be a mine is better than yours type of thing! But I'm sure all of us would like to know how our engines are performing! Also it could be treated like a meet for later on in the year, once the shows etc are finished! If we know prices etc, those that need to save a little bit will have plenty of time to do so!
neil wrx Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Cracking idea mate. If we can get a group together it all depends where everyone is coming from. For me Alan Jeffrey's is ideal cos its on the doorstep. There is ample parking there aswell a fairly sizeable parking facilities. I last had my done at Rowleys, nice enough chap but i think we may struggle if there are quite a few of us in regards of space to park all our cars.
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Mine is going in for a minor tweak next Friday and Saturday at AJs (Enginetuner) Gonna get that damned ticking stopped at last - it has been driving me round the twist so Martyn and I have agreed the solution. A coomon issue with TD04 turbos on 2006 WRXs apparently. Easy enough to sort out tho!!
jimmer Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 WHOOP WHOOP for TERRY! The sly ole dog! Our new RO! A big hand for Jamie ,see you on a meet soon!
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 It is a joint effort mate, Jamie will continue and do what he can when he can.
jimmer Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 It is a joint effort mate, Jamie will continue and do what he can when he can. That's even better, well done guys! We are right behind both of you !
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 And thanks to you for our chat the other day, that helped mate
criddy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 OK UPDATE: I've popped into my local rolling road tonight anything under 20 cars looking at an est £40 a time. They have been in the game for years! Also if anyone can help me out I asked them about my (tyre on arch issue) and they said I can buy suspension spacers. I've found them for sale in the U.S, anyone know where abouts in the UK I might be able to get these from?
criddy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Powerstation? No mate, TSR Performance. They are God's with VW and are huge in that circle. i appreciate they won't know much (potentially) about tuning Scoobs but they sure as hell no how to run a rolling road. They've had multiple show winning cars for performance and looks! While I've got your attention Terry what do you think to spacing my suspension? Other options are putting original springs back in the rear of the car but unsure what this would do to handling. 2nd option is try and camber the wheels but that will give me shorter tyre life
spect Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 I really think you need to talk to the experts mate and Powerstation are amongst the best up at Tewkesbury. They do the Lichfield suspension. I guess if you tell them what you have and what you want and what the problems are they will sort you out. They know all there is to know about that side of things really.

I thought you meant was the rolling road called PowerStation... I will check them out
