spect Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Chris no probs, but you will have to wait till my new ones arrive and are fitted. Maybe we can do the swap at the same time if it is suitable for you? Mine are 295mm discs I think. You can have the whole lot, lol, still be better than you already have. There will be some HEL lines with it too as I had already upgraded those but the new kit comes with nice shiney ones. Only problem now is that the front calipers will be Black and the back will be Red, pha, not pretty
chrishornsey29 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Yeah sure not a problem, I think milk bottle lids would be better than my brakes haha.. But think once those K-sport babys are on, no-one will be thinking 'well theyr not red' haha just a line of blokes perving at your brakes...
the bungster Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Just think... if your the lucky one i go into the back off you can have a FULL respray in grey/silver and you can nickname yourself 'The Silver Surfer' how cool is that..? What Calipers are you fitting..? Just some 4 pots for the time being Will upgrade discs and pads to something more suitable , just getting it all together first so it can all be done at the same time . Gonna shock you all when you see the colour of the buggers , different to say the least .
STImulant29 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hornsey that's an efin bargain! Calipers pads disc and hoses for 200! Shazam! if u need a hand fitting erm let us know mate could do it at mine if not the dell and get spect in.
criddy Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I've got a set of 2006 wrx calipers all round with good diss. The front one could do with a refurb. I think £300 is a good price. Also may have spare hoses but they are standard
spect Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Bargains all round then for the classic drivers.

the bungster Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Pink did cross my mind ,but I then thought people may think I'm trying to make it look like an STI with pink bits here and there . And no terry It's never gonna be silver as long as I draw breath ....

spect Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 looks like it. They must be bright green calipers then!
jd Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Evening all. Dont worry about the colour clash Tel, mine are block front and gold rear. Hope the newer K Sport pads are ok as the earlier ones had bad reviews. Not sure about yellow stuff as I thought they were more aimed at track use. I use Ferodo DS2500 work well from cold and have had no issues.
jimmer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) A mix of whatever is in his garage I bet! Dulux kitchen & bathroom cookie dough, sandtex brilliant white! Lol Edited March 21, 2012 by jimmer

I use Ferodo DS2500 work well from cold and have had no issues. I find the yellowstuff allright for road use - better than oem from cold even bettter when warm. some complain about the amount of dust but i'd say not all that much more than oem, haven't felt the need to use anything to compare with to be honest
beefoss Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Getting some compbrake 6 pots and 330mm disks put on my classic today so some 4 pot calipers with godspeed 295 mm discs and blue stuff pads avaliable Hey there Gaz, i could be interested in your pads and discs as at this rate with my standard brakes I'll be 3 ft in front of everyone for the photos
beefoss Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I think we need to settle this Super Silver/bland blue, debate with a polish off on the 1st...mwahahah
STImulant29 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Bring it show and shine Ps I like my pink stickers and badges it brings out my feminine side and brings out the colour in my eyes. I use ds2500 Excellent pad, was goin to change to ebc but after reading user comments decided against it. I think brake dust is always an issue no matter what pad you use but ds2500 always seem to get mentioned as the top pad to use. The standard brembo pads are more expensive than ferodo too which is a bonus to my ever emptying pockets
