hey, its been a few year since i was on here,i sold my97 sti about 4 year ago and loved it and want another i currently have a bmw 330 ci m sport,2001 with 88k miles. and have been offered a sti 555 with 58k miles and a few mods wheels bodywork, exhaust, etc.i was wondering if anybody can guide me towards what the subaru would be worth and how to know if its a genuine 555 and should it have a limited edition number.

cheers guys

If its a version 2 555 sti it wont have a limited number as they dont have them.

The applied model code is GC8C4ED

The paint code is 53C

It should have a roof flap.

It will have the ariel on the rear wing and not the front A pillar.

It should have intercooler water spray

It should have side skirts

It wont have DCCD.

Its basically just a version 2 sti with a few extras.

Price is hard as the market for these cars is terrible just now. I would say anything from £2000 up to £3500 depending on history / milage / condition.

I presume the reason for that is because it's basically one of a few sti's at the end of production that got a few extras to push sales.

Exactly, just an sti with some bits added. :icon_salut:

does it seem like a fair swap or should i wait and see what else i get offered? bmw 330 coupe (genuine m sport) seem to range from 3k-4.5k with the age and miles of mine and i would prob want about 3700 because mine has pretty much everything, so with all the mods i dont know if the subaru seems like a fair swap. and where on the subaru would i check the codes?

The codes are on a plate on the strut in the engine bay. I dont think i would be swapping and i own a 555 lol

Do an advanced search on pistonheads for 555 sti and see the various ones and the prices.
