clutch slip!

hi all im pretty new to owning an impreza i have a 00my 2.0 awd turbo

i think the clutch is slipping it seems fine on pulling away even if i give it a foot full

but it seems to slip when im plodding along then put my foot down the revs shoot up for a second or so then it seems to bite.. it seems alot worst when its cold once i have done a few miles it dosnt seem so bad!!!!

does this sound familiar to any of you??

wot sort of cash am i talking to have a replacment clutch fitted??

From what i remember it will generally be worst in third gear. Try pulling away in third and see what happens. Have a look for group buys for clutches you can normally pick up a good deal

Yep clutch is on its way out cost will depend where you get it done but it wont be cheap as its a bit of a bitch to change on a scoob if you want to get the parts yourelf you could try aztec performance on scoobynet forum or these guys jap performance car parts
