Help!

I'm on hols in Aviemore this week and I think my MAF sensor is playing up. This is the second one I've fitted in the past month and either I've bought two duff 2nd hand sensors in a row, or its not a MAF sensor problem.

Just wondering if there is anywhere in the area (or Inverness) that may have a new sensor in stock, or possibly a garage that I could go to to double check if it is the MAF sensor thats playing up. I'm regretting not buying a new sensor each time, but surely I'm not that unlucky:brickwall:

Any help, much appreciated.

I was working on a place called bauley , just 10 min past inverness , and there is a Subaru dealership there they had a service side to it there I think.

I was in the lovat hotel before getting cheaper digs in the caravan park, I was doing the scaffolding on the rail bridge in bauley , not the best place for a beer the place is dead!! Lol

Phoned Bitz this morning and they said to pop along with the car for a look.

Looks like it might not be the MAF sensor, but I need to check out my air filter set up first. They suggested putting the original kit back on and then seeing if the problem stayed.

Something to do when I get home next week.

I'd definately go back - they were very friendly and the guy sounded like he knew his stuff. They also fitted me in to an already busy day.

Cheers all

Davey and the guys at Bitz certainly know their stuff. It's where my car goes for servicing and the guys are great. Anyone who builds Impreza rally cars must have an idea what they're doing.....

Hopefully you mentioned the fact that you were a SIDC member and got 10% off the labour charge!
