soundie Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Firstly, first set of track wheels whoo hoo Google can do; 4x 225/40/18 Toyo r888's from www.tyredrive.co.uk at £669.18 delivered and 4x 18"x8 Team Dynamics ProRace 1.2 Glitter Silver from http://www.alloywheels.com at £600 Undelivered. Also, there's a guy on eBay who does them already balanced and fitted for a smidge more. £1339.95 plus £30 for delivery. Obviously the first option looks cheaper even with tyre fitting, but has anybody any experience of anything. lol. Am I missing any deals that you know of? things to be aware of? Thanks all, Chris.

Why do I always associate "death trap" with that brand? ah, wait, i saw a (probably false) internet rumor once. here it is. i remember thinking I'll take that image with a pinch of salt. But turns out its stuck with me. oh well.
paul555sti Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Have seen those rota pictures before but out of the hundred if not thousands of folk on all the Subaru sites I am on I cannot say I have ever seen one post of a failure! There was a thread about powder coating at the wrong temps that could cause those type of failures.

Shame its just one of those victims of internet smear - that the image stays in your mind regardless of reason and logic.
frank c Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 I'd check out to see if you would have any rubbing issues too Chris.
scoobywho Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 My rota wheels have been into a few big holes recently and have been dentless so far

So I'm getting steve to break out his arch rolling gizmo and flare the things out. Then I'll get them repainted. I'm going for Team Dynamics though: a totally unrelated decision.

I think he'll only be making a few of them chaps so no over them. a dry s/hump would be nice but no the now kenny. 3k for a coworth kit, bolt. EDIT: it will be a baffled sump a bit like lateral used to do. maybe a plate too, but probably not. Edited February 16, 2011 by soundie
