Jannerland ??????? and I thought that was an exclusive West Somerset expletive Oh and welcome aboard "CooperJohn" Good luck with the car mate. Beware they soon become a money pit. Mine started as a general purpose hack (wagon). Then I discovered EngineTuner
cooperjohn Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 thanks for the friendly replys ,i made a start on taking the engine out tonight , within an hour everything was disconected im suprised how easy these engines are to work on. all thats left is the bolts holding it to the gear box and the engine mounts. i do have a few questions though. 1: the hex bolt do i remove and insert a bolt of some kind???? 2:i plan on swapping the inlet onto the new engine out of the car is this the best way to do it? every thing else seems straight forward. im hoping to crack on again sunday and with any luck have the new engine in and running!! wish me luck. o one more thing my scoob has an IHI turbo vf34 is this standard as it looks prety big.
