marko72 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 After fitting the sportscat was thinking of fitting a boost gauge to keep an eye on things. Is this one fine for the job? http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=68&products_id=1403 Does anyone have this fitted? What do you think of it etc. Whats the difference between mechanical and electrical gauges? Cheers.
drb5 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Any gauge is(or should be) fine and the look is down to yourself. I think it's a bit expensive though...would rather spend a bit more for a Defi. Mechanical has a pipe coming from whatever take-off you use and straight into the back of the gauge, whereas an electric has a sender inbetween. Personally i prefer mechanical, but there isn't much wrong with electrical.
marko72 Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Cheers for the reply. This any use http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170595642344&fromMakeTrack=true Think this is an electrical gauge from looking up the interweb. Another site mentioned boost sensor, harness and link controller for these gauges but no mention of these in the ebay add. Ive contacted the seller. Wait and see.

Yer, you'll need a sensor and controller for that to work. http://www.defi-shop.com/index.htm
