maxy Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 :kerstsmiley: hi re fitted my boost gauge after the tube melted on the turbo and now the DV is not working have not noticed and drop in power or boost a strange one anyone have any ideas ?? regards
smallcatalunya Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 is it just possible its too tight or maybe just stuck due to icy conditions?
Vimmy Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Hi Maxy, was that the tube that feeds the vacuum to the gauge itself? Is the DV a recirc type, if the vacuum line is leaking it may not enough to open the DV and release excess boost pressure? Do you see the gauge showing indicated built boost as normal and then release as normal? When it releases do you hear the pressure release? As smallcatalunya says maybe its iced up with frozen moisture in the DV? Have you tried pushing on the spring to force it to open and free up any blockage? Is the new vacuum line caught/jammed anywhere? What sort is it ie rubber or silicone hose? Sorry the ammount of questions, I'm a nosey bastage Cheers, Col
