Well after the recent mishap with my Catalunya......................

I've got me another one :)

Big thanks to smallcatalunya on here who sold me the car, it's so good to be out the bmw and back in a scooby again :)

I'll put pics up once I've gave it a good wash, and detailed and waxed it tomorrow, well in a few hours :)

washed and err, well washed it properly, tomorrow it'll get a day of attention on it, sort out a tiny bit corrosion on the rear arches, then set about a full service, belt, pulleys, tensioner and a set of angel eyes with HID lighting, hopefully my self levelling 'install' will work out and the dibble won't bother with them!

In all honesty, it's probably not that bad a tune as far as chart pop is concerned, but I personally developed an aversion to it around the time it first charted - Radio Clyde insisted on playing it every single morning on their breakfast show for about two months... :blink:

Yeah, it just made me boil with rage everytime a looked at it, and if something went tits up during it's re-build I'd o flipped and took a sledgehammer to the rest of it. Well I've still a bit more to get from them they gave me a 'basic' amount and once thehy recieve the service history etc there'll be a bit more onto the figure.

think youve made a good choice mate, speaking from experience theyre never the same again :(

and pmsl at your song choice - glad you can laugh about it :D

I've re-built a few that have had 'offs' or 'oooooohhhhh-oooppssssshiiiiits' and as you say there's always something not quite there with them, maybe it's an entirely subconsious thing?

Aye, might as well laugh/joke about it, s**** happen's just got to tramp along and keep chappin on lol. Still can't wait to meet the combine pilot though! :driving::icon_hang:

its looking absolutely mint stevie nice work mate keep the pics coming ;) also noticed you put the original air box back on probobly the best thing for it how do you find the power of the cat? i thought it was pretty quick for a catalunya (judging by the original specs) but ive never driven another one to compare so dont realy know

I've not managed to get hold of a standard air-box for it yet, meant to go to S&S to price new one, can't be that bad I hope!

It is quick, far quicker than my first one, pulls far better and actually sits on the road better, gave it a'bit' earlier there on a couple of my favourite back roads, and B):wub: it seemed to just slide through the corners perfect.

Got a new Cat1 alarm for it today, I managed to break the clifford :rolleyes:

and I got me this for it :icon_salut:

i thought i saw an original air box in the pic must just be the way it looked lol ive just been told that its better to have an original air box with panel filter as the cones are known to blow MAF's but ive never had any probs with it and yes the car does hold the road realy well i know its been lowered not sure what on so maybe its got some good suspension kit on it definetly sticks like glue what turbo is that? i cant make out the plate lol

It's a TO4E thing, but i'm not putting it on, need get strut braces, and angel eye lights for it! so I'll put it for sale or swaps!

cool i just got new wrx lights for my car had chavtastic lexus lights on it but im going to spray the bottom lens black was going to do that with the cat but never got round to it but ive got all the stuff now so will do it after i get the car fixed going to M & D performance tomorrow to get a new thermostat fitted then i need to fix the dump valve then boost controller then exhaust blow then header tank cap needs replaced lol all niggly bits though not a big deal

Where, andd in no way is it, just this minute past fitting a spanking new set of Coilovers to it, and ordered a full set of polybushes for it.
