Ovv Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Think its a slow market regardless of what type of car you have to sell at the mo, saying that though I'm amazed it hasnt been snapped up for that price. I know from experience of buying your old one, a finding a nice clean example is like looking for hens teeth. Maybe worth starting a new thread for it in the FS section, maybe not get much interest cause its showing under the previous owners username ??

Ovv Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Thats a pretty poor response, where else do you have it advertised mate ? I'm guessing it depends on how many people are looking for a classic at the moment, with so many classics around that have been chav'd up or driven too hard and been unloved its a strange that its still about. I had thought about selling up last week as mine just doesnt get driven enough, I even had the advert all written up but didnt have heart to post it and funnily enough my mrs said no since I had looked so long and hard to find a good one. Well if you do end up selling and want to come back into the fold then your old one is looking pretty in my cosy garage.... lol.

Ovv Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) Unless your really struggling for cash mate, dont drop the price, you know its worth what your asking, probably more. Edited October 28, 2010 by Ovv
jim dbm Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 im hoping i wont have to sell it tbh, hopefully things will improve over the next couple of months after xmas, i might take it off the road at the end of november as the insurance runs out then and save myself some cash then get it back on the road end of february . said i was going to keep this one as its that good and the wife doesnt want me to sell it either. already had plans for whiteline arbs front and rear and droplinks and a nice set of refurb's prodrive 17" st-2 alloys in silver and it would be perfect.
Ovv Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Good plan with taking it off the road, keeps the mileage down and away from all the ****ty salt. Tax for mine runs out at end of November, will tuck it up in garage until at least March/April of next year and retax it before the MOT is due. That reminds me, need to find a centre cat for it over the winter. Fingers crossed for you mate, judging on the condition of your old one I can see this one being totally cherished as well. If I win the Euromillions the night, I will pay you just to keep it.
