this may not be a popular answer as i know some don't like using it. but, if its only a slight leak and you can't find it, you interior heaters are all working normally proving good water circulation throught the system. i would try a bottle of radweld. it will seal permenantly any small leak.

Is there a damppatch under the car.

No patch, water loss and overheating sounds like head gasket failure to me.

Why did you change the hoses in the first place, if they burst that could be another sign due to a pressurised water jacket.

If you have just had your pipes changed for the radiator i would check that both the fans are connected. I say this because after my timing belt was changed I had the same overheating problem as you but this was due to my fans not being connected!

There is a patch under the car everytime i stop thats not coming from the aircon, or the radiator, I just changed the thermostat (Horrendous Job)re bled the system, I changed the pipes as they were looking old so all new clips and pipes from subaru, the radiator seems to be ok I can leave the car sitting for 30-40 mins running fans come on and no over heating, go for a blast on the motorway at constant speed 70-75 come home during 1 min cooldown car overheats

I have changed all pipework and thermostat just to renew it, tye water pump was done with the timing belt in the summer, i have found the leak there was a rubber plug missing from the l/h of the radiator at the bottom so problem seems to be away,
