Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to this forum and require help in a certain field

I am going to look at a "R" plated impreza turbo waggon 84K on clocks all HPI'ed (uk version) in the next few days its wanted for nothing in its life..................

I need to know of any common faults with this model or areas i need to pay special attention too when looking over this car

Spec i have so far on this are is

Uprated Roller Bearing Turbo

Uprated Up-pipe

NGK PFR7B's

Roger Clarke Lightened Pulleys & New Belts

Uprated Walbro Fuel Pump

Ported Headers

STI Strut Brace

Heat Wrapped Pipes

3" Bell mouth decat Pipe

Blitz Exhaust System

Blitz Boost Guage

Uprated Injectors

HKS SEQ Blow Off Valve

K&N Filtering System

Uprated Hoses

Hybrid Front Mount Intercooler

Rally Alloy Diff Guard

Aluminium Lightweight Bottom Arms

Tein Suspension Set-up

Uprated anti-roll bars

B&M Shortshifter

Perrin Droplinks

4 Pot Brakes 300mm discs

EBC Red Stuff Pads

Uprated Goodridge Stainless Braided Brake lines all round

Speedline ST2's

Michelin Pilots all round loads of tread

Full STI Interior with Armrest

Late JDM STI Red Stitch steering wheel

Heres the best bit and this cost a fortune:

STANDALONE Complete Engine management System with hand controller

REMAPPED 320hp Max Boost 290bhp lower boost

TOP spec Security on car

Mechanically my car wants for nothing as all fluids inc diff oil, timing belt, brake pipes, service items all done!

Oil is changed along with filter every 6 months whatever the mileage! Its a very clean free running engine.

5 months MOT 5 months TAX genuine 84000 miles and HPI CLEAR

Any help welcomed

Fettled motor needs stringent servicing so check the book, if in doubt walk away.

I am told all paperwork for re-map and all other bits that owner paid for in his 4 yr ownership is with car, as well as Hpi cert plus other mots, bills etc.....does the stamps in dealer books these days count for anything???..........as i have heard these things are easy to copy ??

This car sounds ok,until i look at it ,but thanx for the advise myles

thanks for coming to view today neil, this was my car and has been looked after by thwaites developments as i stated to you, i would never sell any one a shed as i would never own one in the 1st place, i took you out in it and the drive on it is perfect even you could not fault it and im sure others wont be able to either.

I DO not care what others say, i KNOW i have spent the money well on the car and everything has been done apart from a few minor cosmetics as you saw in the flesh

its a GOOD and QUICK car for the money no doubt about it!
