hi_jac Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I plan on getting the car Whiteline'd out its nut as Jac took me out in his car the other night and showed me what a properly set up car is like and it blew my mind with superb turn in and fantastic composure through the corners, so much bracing and polly bushing along with geomitery settings etc required !! Emmm... You took me out in ma car the other night, good driving with those BIG BOOTS.

G.Mac Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 New part turned up, wont be fitting it right away though as I will be prooving the car and myself with my old MD321T+ first Graeme
RA Dunk Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Nice turbo Col (what is it a GT35?), but WTF's up with the 'diet' Irn Bru you big girl!
colin_ross Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 No mate, just a diddy 3040. I'd drank all the cans of stella before opening the box as I remember so it was either the irn bru or the shoe my missus threw at me when I showed her what I'd bought. G Mac's picture just reminded me of going through the same process.
john_stevenson2 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Graeme, why don't you just build it up with proper turbo turned down ?
hi_jac Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Nice turbo Gman, sure that turbo did a low 9s in a classic a few years back.
G.Mac Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Just down to cost John, I want to try get the car running at least this year as I can use my old setup and low boost map for running in as it wont be a million miles away. I have also not driven a subaru (except jacs a couple of weeks ago) in anger in nearly a year. Callum took me out in the fat boy with the same turbo fitted when it was mapped to 1.6 bar and it was mental Jac, not interested in straight lines, I prefer corners I am tempted to stick it right on there but I know my childish imature side will take over and I will just want max power right away (not the mag) Graeme
ANDYJDMSTI Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Just get it on there you Plum!!! You know fine well no matter what setup you have the "demons" will surface!
G.Mac Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Well time for a wee bit of an update. I have decided to go ahead and fit the big woosher I havent done much to the car (well nothing realy) since last update but I have slowly been collecting a few suspension and chassis parts to help me go round corners a bit better. but first thing is to stop using the car as a dumping ground every time I clear the crap out of the van and tidy it up a bit Guess what I will be doing for the rest of today !!!! Will stick up some photos as the nice postman should be coming tomorrow with a couple more Zen like parts Car will be going in to get all the bits fitted in 3 weeks time once I am finished work. might even get the engine in too!
