G.Mac Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Alright peeps Just had Grant (Squiggle) on the phone saying that Prodrive were speaking to him and said they have a set of Prodrive assembled Alcon 6 pots for sale with disks, Bells and pads for £1000. Calipers are badged Alcon. and pcd is 100 pcd and all items are new if anyone wants these they are to contact Grant within the next 2 days and he will bring them back up from Prodrive on his way home from Goodwood I only posted this here as it is such a limited time offer rather than in the for sale section Graeme
badbaz Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) tempted to just delete this so i can get them And will you delete the hatch and buy <05 so you have the correct PCD Del? Edited July 1, 2010 by badbaz
Spaceman Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 wouldn`t think so as sure the ones the P1 got were 4 pot alcons pretty sure these will be the daddy ones do you know what size discs? and the bell`s should be easy to be re drilled for 114.3 pcd.
Kosy Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Spaceman- yep you are right. The P1s were 4 pots and had prodrive on them. They cost more than these ones! Good buy for somebody
StrikE Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 And will you delete the hatch and buy <05 so you have the correct PCD Del? Couldn't handle the upgrade Barry and the bell`s should be easy to be re drilled for 114.3 pcd. yup they are
thebigfelly Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 daft question here but what are alcon 6 pots.. guesing alcon are the brand not got a clue what yous mean by 6pots and 4 pots though
thefastone Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 You think that they will swap for the prodrive 4 pots? I paid a lot more for them!!!! Gutted... and here's me with no cash...
Kosy Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Bigfelly- yes Alcon is the brand. 2/4/6 pot relates to the number of pistons per caliper and effectively how powerful they are. The more the better. I would like the prodrive/alcon 4 pot kit just cause it's the only option my P1 is missing
thefastone Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I love the Alcon 4-pots.... but I'd have snapped this up in a flash...
scooby222 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 can they be redrilled for 114?? brakes are the one thing id still upgrade if i had shekels...
thefastone Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 You know, as a thought, they would probably fit any PCD, because all you would have to do would be to sell on the Discs, and buy discs with the correct PCD from someone like Ian @ Godspeed...? Or am I completely wrong there?
Spaceman Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 nope but its even easier as the rotors are seperate from the bell`s so you could have a machince shop just re drill them
thefastone Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Ah, well if it's seperate bells, then they should be pretty cheap to buy then...
