If its still the same engine that Dave put in, then I'm pretty sure its got forged pistons etc fitted... the car was absolutely bang on back in the day (even when it was sitting on 19" wheels!!), remember it sitting in a dealers a wee while ago and someone sticking a thread up about it.

Stick some photos and a spec list of the car up now mate. :D

Cheers,

Grant

as for the spec. not sure. a thought it was standard but reading up on previous owners it may have had some work done like you said.

Aaaaaaaaaaaah them were the days!!!! :D

Tbh, i wouldn't pin my hope on it being the same block. If it's still got the goodes(Eagle rods and JE pistons), you'll hear it quite rattly when cold?

was it the original block in the scoob? if so then if the numbers match up then its most likely the same engine??

does sound a bit rattly a dunno if am just paranoid cause a blew my old scooby up. but the noise goes away when its warmed up. i took it to my mate and he said some subarus just sound like that but it is a little rattly.

a was always scared of that tapping noise that came from it but ave done nearly 3k in the thing and its not missed a beat B)

still has the exhaust and springs etc.

wheels are going for a refurb as the back ones corroded.

other than that the cars running well :D

Prolly the same engine then....i used the same block yes. There was some very light scoring on a couple of cylinders when it went, but not bad enough to warrant a new block. Got a company to hone it a bit and it was fine.

It wasn't mapped no. MAF sensor failed, thus the reason for rebuild.

thats a good thing then ;)

dont suppose you have any receipts for it or was that long ago now?

the mafs just on its away out the now.

getting a new maf this weekend.

No receipts i'm afraid no.

New MAF is always a good thing!

The thread where i was sellin it in says 58k, so knock 1k off for running engine in and maybe 5k tops before that....i didn't do many miles at all. At that, it's gotta be around 50-55k anyway.

Looks like it still has the Revolution backbox...?
