RA Dunk Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Cant help but think 400 BHP can be done for alot less money than that, Alot of money for a Cosworth badge TBH.
scooby222 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 and il bet it doesnt sound as good as Strikes either
wrxmania Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 My car with PPP, Prodrive Springs, STI 18's, quickshift etc cost a LOT less than that - I don't doubt it's a superb car BUT there is just no way to justify the £22,500 price hike over standard, even if exclusive. Mine is plenty quick and looks visually very similar without the colour, and a few exterior/interior shiny bits! A Euro import with Recaro's etc and then £5k work is a brilliant buy. Brian
wrxmania Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 The other thing is it still has the standard stereo, probably still has no electrically heated door mirrors like the standard STI and there is no mention of much work to the gearbox (e.g. a quickshift etc). And how annoyed would you be when you drove your £50k car away from the showroom and the interior was rattling lol Brian
col666 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 50k! ridiculous! Thought the RS500 Focus was crazily priced at 38k but Subaru are taking the p**s!
paul555sti Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) 50k! ridiculous! Thought the RS500 Focus was crazily priced at 38k but Subaru are taking the p**s! The only thing i suppose to remember is that the 22B was almost the same price when it was new and it still holds about 25k price to this day so this cosworth may do the same and i know that this car doesnt have the history the 22B has . jcscoob Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) 50k How annoyed would you be when you got your erse handed to you by an auld classic Edited May 25, 2010 by Jcscoob

The 22B had heritage though with the WRC, McRae etc. This thing has nowt, Subaru dont even compete anymore! In the classifieds in a few years for 22k.

Colin i edited my post as i had missed the word history out of it , i agree with you on that part but i still think these will hold the value better over the long term than other hatches due to the exclusivity of them. The fact that they have had orders for so many so quickly speaks for it self.
paul555sti Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 And Brian i also agree with you thath you could achieve the same for a lot less money. There are a few hatches down south that have had forged rebuilds that will match the cosworth easily.
StrikE Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 and il bet it doesnt sound as good as Strikes either Lol not a chance m8 Hopefully by the end of the year i will have a cossie eater sticker on my hatch anyhoo AND it will have cost me a shed load less than 50 smackeroonies It's a nice car but i cant justify that 50 price tag
steveairdrie Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I'd rather have the Lichfield 2ltr Sti impreza than the cosworth. Steve
Hightower Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 50k for a scoob with only 395 bhp, well overpriced. may look ok but for near nissan gtr money not worth it.
john_mchutchison Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I like the look of this car but ive only one thing to say, 3 DOORS!!!
marky.t.s Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 50k How annoyed would you be when you got your erse handed to you by an auld classic ..........and the most sensible quote of this thread goes to...........
